Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County Named 2026 Impact100 Sonoma Grantee
Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County was honored to be named one of Impact100 Sonoma’s 2026 Grantees, receiving support to help relaunch our essential home repair program for low-income seniors.
Impact100 Sonoma is a local women-led philanthropic organization that pools individual donations to award high-impact grants to nonprofits addressing critical needs across Sonoma Valley. Their collective giving model has helped strengthen countless community programs, and we are deeply grateful for their investment in our work.
This grant will specifically support home repair projects for low-income seniors living in Sonoma Valley, helping them remain safely and independently in the homes they have built their lives in. Through this program, Habitat will provide critical repairs such as fixing unsafe stairs, installing accessibility features like ramps and grab bars, and addressing urgent health and safety hazards. For many older adults, these repairs are the difference between aging safely at home and facing injury, displacement, or loss of independence.
The need in Sonoma County is significant and growing. Nearly one-third of residents are projected to be over the age of 60 within the next several years, and many are living on fixed incomes in homes that require essential repairs.
At the same time, there is no other organization in the county providing comprehensive, coordinated emergency home repair services for low-income seniors at scale.
So we are so grateful to Impact100 Sonoma for recognizing this gap and helping us relaunch a program that directly addresses it.
The Impact100 Sonoma Grant Awards Celebration was held on April 28th at Sebastiani Winery, and was a fun evening of connection and community. We were proud to celebrate alongside fellow grantees, Impact100 Sonoma members, and partners who are all working to strengthen Sonoma County in meaningful ways.
